Shot ballistics

May not be the proper terminology. But has anyone ever tested or know just how flat a turkey load will shoot out to certain distances before it begins to fall? And  I know that's a vague question with a lot of variables  just curious to see if anyone had ever tested that with any particular load   I been shooting Longbeards and have never pattered our past 40 but have never tried farther    Just curious

Standard velocity load starts falling about 40. Sixty you'd want to hold up near a foot. I know this from shooting crow and pigeon. Furthest crow is about 75 yards so far. You have to shoot them coming or crossing to get the head. Most birds can tote more lead than you'd think.

Check YouTubebe for George Digweed. Man drops shot on them pushing 100 regularly and breaks clays past that.

Howl gives good advice. At the distance you're talking about, the drop (which begins immediately) is negligible and more than offset by pellet spread.
