Has any one ever turkey hunted in Big South Fork National Park In Tennessee I live in Kentucky Im about two hours from there but never have hunted it. I'm looking for some out of state spots to hunt this year plan on hunting in Ohio and I've been thinking about big South Fork also. Any info on it would be greatly appreciated

Well I live here next to it and have my entire life. Not many birds anymore to be honest with you. It is mostly KY people hunting it the first few weeks until the KY season opens. Back in the day, 10/15 years ago, birds weren't to hard to find but now you really need to be in very particular locations that usually require a 4x4 vehicle that you don't care to beat up and a lot of walking. The hog and bear population has exploded in the area and turkeys just aren't having successful nesting. I can go to pretty well any other state on public land and have much more success than I can in my own backyard anymore and that's just sad.
