I use NAP kill zones, 2" cut, I always like a broadhead with a "cut-on-contact" blade that cuts right away. I've tried a lot of different types. They seem to work the best for me. They don't use rubber bands or shock-collars that you can never find in a store either. Blades "lock" and good to 400 fps. But when it comes to a crossbow, just about anything works. Shot placement is where you need to concentrate on. I also like "brass inserts" instead of aluminium. If you have aluminium now you can order and replace them with brass, easy to do. You want a "heavy" arrow, F.O.C (weight forward of center) You my lose a little FPS but you will gain more energy down range and accuracy. I also put string stoppers on my crossbow. It "quiets" it down and reduces "wear & tear" on limbs and cams. On a compound bow , I use slick tricks and stay away from mechanical. My main hobby is tracking wounded big game with dogs past 30 years, I've seen it all. Fixed heads are more should I say... "reliable" IMO
