Quickly cooling turkey meat

If you can only squeeze in a quick hunt, or you shoot a turkey just before having to leave for one reason or another, and you don't have the time to break down a bird, what is your preferred method of cooling it until you get a chance to clean it? Do you pack a cooler with ice? Stick it in the fridge? Is it necessary to dress the bird before cooling it? If you don't dress it but leave it cooling for a day, is it safe to pluck it or are you only going to pull the breast, thighs and legs? Any thoughts?

I freeze 16 oz dixie cups full of water and carry them in a cooler. Got it and shove the ice in the chest cavity. then throw the whole bird in a cooler and cover with ice. Never lost one , even on a hot day.

I'd rather breast one out than gut it if I was in a hurry. Only takes 5 mins to fillet

If you got a spare refridgerator just put the whole bird in a bag and put him in there and clean him when you get home from work, done it a few times and has always been fine.
