Has any Forum member used either a Primos  "Hook-Up" box call, and/or a Primos "Box Cutter? if so I am interested in your evaluation of their pros and cons.       Thanks.

The box cutter is a great production call. A buddy of mine who is a new turkey hunter just picked up the hook up and it didn't sound too bad either.

I would definitely give the nod to the box cutter though.

I have a box cutter, didnt think much of it, lacking sound IMO

I have heard box cutters that sound good and some that were so so. I'd shy away from the hook up. If you find one that sounds good that's great, but if it doesn't there is no way to tune it with the magnetic lid

I've got a box cutter.  Chalked up and clean of oil it sounds good to my ears.  It needs a bit of tweaking with the spring tension.  It cuts cuts great though if you get your thumb in the right spot

Killed a few gobblers with my box cutter. It's in my vest every spring, don't be afraid to try it out.

I rarely use a box but I have owned a couple of the box cutters. They are very easy to play and get good yelps and cuts. For the money, it's a good call that I would be comfortable using.

I have the full size hookup and sounds good for the money.  I've not had much luck with it in the woods.  It seems like the birds in my area prefer a slate pot in many cases.  Ol'betsy fro Primos is a cheap slate and works for me.
