Has anyone ever hunted Gorman Ranch near Gorman Texas? Booked there for upcoming weekend. Trying to get an idea on what to expect. Looks like a ton of pigs. Never can tell about some of these outfits. Thanks

The main thing with Texas is the baiting. Most of not all the paid hunts envolve corn feeders and pop up blinds. If your in to that that's fine, but it ain't hunting. The other thing with Texas is you have to watch the hatches. It can be boom one year and bust the next. For example in most places in Texas this year will have a lower population because of poor hatching in 2017. I wish Texas had more public land because when you time it right it can be really good
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

I took a bird last spring on Texas public near san angelo but public in Texas is not a pleasant experience very much a pay to play state. As stated earlier many outfitters your just buying a bird off them not really a hunt you will sit in a blind and shoot one or two or three whatever you pay for.

I've never hunted that ranch but most places do have feeders out and usually the gobblers follow the hens in to them.
The state is predicting a good number of  mature birds this spring, the hardest thing is right now all the toms are with hens.
I'l be down in a little less than two weeks to hunt a couple places just north of Olney, Texas. there the feeders are not in use during the spring but there are plenty
of gobblers there the last two years, haven't missed getting one there yet.
Plenty of hogs also, got to have something to do when you're not hunting turkeys.
good luck on  your hunt -
