I have a question for you Michigan Turkey hunters.....you have to have a base license and a Turkey tag for the spring and from my understanding it's a one bird limit....my question is....is there a fall hunt and do I just buy another Turkey tag for the fall hunt and the base license I only buy once for that year.
I think I know the answer but I'd like some confirmation.
Thanks Perry

Hey Perry,
Yes I believe you're correct. Last year I hunted fall and spring gobblers and just had to but the one base license.

Thankyou I didn't think I would have to buy 2 base licenses for the same year.

You are correct. The base license is good for the year. There is a 1 bearded bird limit for spring . The fall tag is also good for 1 bird. The fall season is mid September through Nov. 14th. Firearm deer season starts the 15th.

Thankyou and I'm guessing the fall bird is of either sex.....I will go on the dnr site and do my homework as well.

Yes. Either sex in the fall. I was thinking it but didn't type it the first time. Definitely double check, I never read the non resident section lol.

In the spring it is one bird per season. Fall is one per day as long as the quota has not been met.
