I agree now Chordeiles! Hunt the ones closest to camp first.  Anyway, if, I hear 40-- 50 + Gobblers and Jakes in this very secluded area-- I might try a Close opening morning hunt  before, I Log the miles on my 59 year old Legs.

One of my best-productive spots is very close to the fence, marking the public area. I busted one of my best toms within sight of a hunters' check-in station. The no. of tracks led me to investigate that "edge" area.
To paraphrase a story..."...and the old bull said "No. We don't have to run down there. Let's walk down there and $&@% them all."" Sometimes the easiest of the easy birds get the least pressure.

This Spring should be Great up here in NY + NJ. Last year, I saw Alot of Jake's Should be Plenty of 2- Year olds running around in my Neck of the Woods.
