I have a 3/4 strut DSD Jake and a DSD mating hen (the one with the hole in the back). How would you guys suggest setting them up? Use the hole or just position the Jake slightly behind her?

Honestly probably won't matter, I like them separated slightly to make sure there both obvious!

In the scenario, I set my DSD 3/4 Strut Jake (Dominant Decoy) closest to me and at 15 yards out and to my strong side (RH) , I have the Submissive Hen but should work same as Mating Hen. Keep her set in your kill zone, I always leave "Elbow Room" enough so the incoming tom can easily approach either decoy, he may feel the need to beatdown the jake or he may go right to the back of the hen. If with the shotgun positioning her is not as crucial with the bow, if bow it plays into your set. One other to remember is visibility, once the cover gets too tall...

Here's a set, Jake is in this set but as a sub (not dominant decoy), Jake could be set in place of Strutter in this, was set for archery kill and at 10 yards, hunter is on left side facing set and I'm on right calling/filming. The submissive Hen was set in kill zone and directional placement allowed for the shot. Dead Bird
