Large / Heavy Pellets and Temperature?

Are Larger / Heavier pellets more resistant to the effects of Temperature on Pattern Numbers and Percentages?

I would say larger pellets would be affected more due to The greater surface area associated with them
I would say Hevi shot would be less affected then lead
