I'm in the market for some new boots and wondering what everyone's wearing. I am looking for a non insulated hiking or light weight hunting boot. I have no need for knee high snake boots or rubber boots, I hunt a lot of hardwoods and very little field hunting.   Thanks in advance for suggestions

I have the Crispi Idaho boots...durability, quality and comfort unsurpassed...They have some models that are cheaper, but I'm not familiar with.  Covehunter may chime in or u can pm him about the model he uses and he has put his to the test to be sure.

I have had excellent performance , durability and comfort from  Lowa boots. Take a look at the Renegade model unless you are in the mountains . Then I would suggest the Tibet and Hunter Extreme.

I just picked up BOA Upland Kangaroo boots from LLBean a little pricey but got them on sale, haven't worn them in the woods yet but they fit great in EE (extra wide)
We wait all year, why not enjoy the longbeard coming in hunting for a hen, let 'em' in close !!!

I have a season's worth of abuse on a pair of Crispi Valdres and Crispi Summits. I just cleaned them up and put a little wax on them for the off season. They both still look brand new. I expect to get many years out of them. I'd most definitely recommend them especially if you hunt a place you must to a bit of climbing. Those boots seem to go up better than any boot I've worn.

Thanks for the replies, think I'll go with Crispi's. Now to tell the warden i'm putting out 3 Bills for a pair of boots.

I've got a pair of kenetrek hard scrabble that I like so far. However, if ur not used to boots with a lot of support, they're gonna feel a bit stiff.
