This is the heaviest bird I've ever taken...23.41 lbs
Second best scoring bird ever at just a touch over 68.5.

Took him while participating in our annual Wheelin' Sportsmen hunt.  It was a quick hunt by my standards. It was drizzling rain with some patchy fog. Bird gobbled at 6:15, came off the roost around 6:40, was dead at 7:00. Even had time to get a biscuit before meeting back with the others.

Thanks guys for letting me be a part of SG&A.

Both of us are a little wet.

View from the blind, we were nested in a triangle of cedar trees. Turkey was standing just to the left of the struttin' deke. Killed a bird last year on our Wheelin' hunt in exact same spot.
