I got close to a big bird this morning,  but he got spooked pretty good by a gunshot,   someone else came in (public land) and shot one about 100 yards from him.  He was still on the roost when the shot went off,   he took off across the lake (roughly 200 yards wide )  Will he come back and roost in the samearea or is he gone for a little while.   I can hunt in the morning and want some opinions on what to do for the morning.   Any help is greatly appreciated!!

only way to know for sure is to give him a try... He may have picked another spot for tonight even without a shot, but I'd be close to that area if I were you.

I know I won't kill one in the morning because I'll be at the office. You have a lot better chance than I do.  :anim_25:

I'll bet he's within hearing distance tomorrow. If you roost him tonight you'll know exactly where he is tomorrow. Good luck,
