Tough hunt in nc.

Hunted hard for a few days this past week in the eastern part of the state . Most toms seemed to be henned up and content. Heck even the jakes had hens with them. First time hunting nc and must say the flat terrain  was a welcome change from New England.

Hunt Guilford everyday only heard 2 gobble but have called 7 long beards an 11 Jake's most Jake's I seen in years an that's a good thing the only one that gobbled come came 300 yds gobbling all the an slipped in behind me an couldn't get a shot but just as happy as if I killed him
