scored some LB #6's...now what?

local sporting goods store here had 10 boxes of Winchester Longbeard XR 3" #6's on the shelf for $18.00 a box so I brought enough home to pattern and hunt for a couple seasons. I shoot Remington 20ga 21" barrel and have a Trulock HW #7 and a RSFT choke. I tried these chokes with some LB 6's a couple weeks ago and they both threw good numbers at 40yds but the patterns were not as even as I'd like. Any suggestions on a choke that is proven to shoot an even pattern with these shells out of the short barrel Remington?

Get the cheap Carlson's .575 turkey choke off of eBay. I think they're about $20-$25. This is with LB #6s out of a Franchi 720 with the Carlson's choke.

My local shop has some and i bought a box last week. I paid more the $18 though. I think is was about $25 for the 10rd box. Way more then i thought it should cost.
Im gonna try to shoot them out of my Indian creek tube

thinking Carlson's LB .568 or the Turkey .575......SumToy .562-3......Trulock LB .565.  I know my particular gun ended up liking the Trulock Heavy 7 choke better than anything else with the Federal HW #7 shot. It'll do about 180 in the 10"er at 40yds all day long and it is a nice even pattern everytime. I think Federal did the ol' bait and switch on the heavy shot ammo and the fact that it's so expensive and VERY hard to find is why I'm going LB 6's when all mine is gone. They're a fraction of the price and a lot easier to find.

anybody shooting a 21" 870 with any of the chokes mentioned and LB 6's?

I tried the longbeards out of my 870 with a Carlson 575 and it did about 130. Very nice.

 I have a Carlsons 575 for several 20 gauges and no matter what I shoot through it is always consistent and very adequate. 120s on low-end up to 150s in a single shot NEF. The tru lock for heavyweight 7s will put up higher numbers but is no where near as consistent. Longbeard 6s did 133 in the youth 870. I do think it is the same choke as the Remington factory turkey choke though. Is usually a very even pattern also. The two RSFT chokes I have one is a lead only and the other is hevi approved. One measures .572 and the other.575. I don't know if the .003 difference matters or not but I am sure someone else can say.

Same situation w a little black 870, I will probably try another choke but picked up a ported Primos  tightwad 570 and it shoots a nice pattern around 130 w LB 6s at 40 yds.  Might try to find a Swarm 555, or the Rem super full turkey, not sure of constriction but very popular.

hey Double B. the Remington Super Full Turkey is .572   I posted a target above that I shot with it and the LB 6's at 40 yds with my 21" 870 youth. It's the bottom pic.

Sorry, my bad I didn't catch that!  At least now I know it's 572.  I was considering the rem super full turkey choke, I like non-ported too.  That swarm choke sounds like it may be worth a look.
