I am assuming a consistent even pattern each shot, but wondering if you would expect the center of that pattern to be in the exact same spot shot after shot after shot... or would you expect it to move around some? I got to thinking about this the other day when shooting my CZ 22. It held a 1/2" group at 50 yds and I thought surely that has to be more consistent than a shotgun and shell combo. That made me wonder how much movement of the pattern centers would be considered normal. Looking at it as a single dot marking the center of each pattern shot, how big would that "group" be after 5 or 10 shots?
