got a spalted hard maple pot  3 1/4 in slate over slate  great meduim tone call nice rasp ,,, this runs just like my sappy walnut pot  not to often i run across spalted maple that dont need stbilized but this is great running call ,,, comes with 2 piece  dymond rod striker
