I have purchased a Mossberg 500 20 gauge youth model. It is drilled and tapped from the factory. I went ahead and picked up a Weaver rail/base. I am wanting to put a FF3 on top of it. I am wanting to buy the protecter with the picatinny mount. Will it fit on this Weaver base and if not what all will I need to purchase to mount it?

Might wanna call the good folks at Burris for an authoritative answer. The Brownells explanation of the diff suggests a picatinny mount will fit a Weaver base but not necessarily the reverse.

In my opinion the lowest profile mount that will normally fit your already drilled and tapped pattern that is made specifically for your ff3 is the suntoy Mount. Contact William on here under sumtoy and ask him about his mount if it will Work I am not familiar with Mossberg so you will need to ask him.

If you want to attach a Burris ff to a weaver base, this is if the weaver base fits the hole pattern already drilled and tapped in your  Gun this is what you need, if you buy the right ff3 it should be in the box with it.
It's the Burris picatinny Mount.

I would run one of our mounts that is set up for the holes in the gun or a burris 336 base (drill tap one more hole).  The rest of them get the sight to high in my opinion.
Tell us just how dead do you want them to be and we will see if we can get that for you.
