Not looking to spend a fortune. I've been looking at the tactacam with 5x zoom and some cheap video cameras online  the video cameras would be harder to accomplish being on a tripod but would probably be better footage. The tactacam would be a lot easier being mounted on the gun. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

What i'm using is a Handycam with 70 x extended zoom with a Carl Zeiss lens...It's made by Sony...SD card type...i have a regular tripod and a small table tripod...    i also have extra batteries and SD cards...  I looked at the gun mounted ones but you were just limited on what you could do with one of those...i wanted sometimes with less limitations... regardless you want a good zoom and lens...pick you up a cheap tripod off ebay with a level bubble....if you go with a hand type camera... search catman529 on this forum he has a good starter video for someone wanting to shoot video's ...do's and don't...

You just missed a great buy on refurbished Canon HF G40..$536.00. Now they're $799.00. Still a great cam at a good price.

I've had both the G30 and G40 in refurbished models. They looked brand new and came with everything a  new one would, including warranty. Only reason I sold the G30 to get the G40 was more zoom capability.
