Ghost ring sight on Weatherby

What is everyone's opinion on the ghost ring sight on the weatherby shotguns? I like it but haven't shot it yet. Also wandering if I do not like it will the high front sight be in the view of a red dot or similar sight. Front sight looks to be soldered on so machining it off might be the only solution. Any opinions? Thanks

You can remove the big blade up front... the welded piece left over will not be in your way with the red dot.
I used the ghost rings for a while.. not bad. But I moved all my turkey guns to Burris FF3
