My son and I just got back from the Black Hills of South Dakota. We have hunted that area for about 25 years.
The last time we were there was in 2011. We were shocked when we arrived at our area to find that a large portion of our favorite hunting spots had burned. Also much of what didn't burn was being heavily logged. Then to top it off the state had designated a huge chunk of land as an ATV park. But we did manage to find a few gobbling birds by walking in to some remote spots. Here is a pic of one Jim called in on the third day there. Had a great time despite all of the surprises.

Great picture, Bill.  Good to get back to your old stomping grounds, even with the not-so-great changes.

That's a beautiful bird, congrats.

If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
