Starting a new streak

As many of you know from previous posts, my bird-less season last spring ended a 22 year streak of successful springs for me. This morning I started a new streak with a nice 3 year old. One year and counting! Lol!  Add in my sons nice 2 year old on youth day and my South Dakota birds and I've got to say it's been a good year (even though I heard even less birds than last spring). For now I'm just gonna soak up the success and hope that next year brings just as much.

Very nice Farm. I blanked about 4 or 5 years ago, first time since I took it up (I don't count my first season).  My next bird was mid season the next year and even though I was having fun, it sure took some pressure off me.

Congrats man. I too had a rough season last year. Got to hunt more than ever before and still walked away without a bird. Made up for it this year though with a decent bird. Last year was the first year I can recall without a bird. Not the first without a spring gobbler but even when the spring was bad, I'd almost always get one in the fall. Last year, absolutely nothing. I'm pleased at the moment and very glad you got a couple as well.

Nice, way to get back on track.  I hope you beat your previous streak.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
