What do you guys find most effective in the spring. I've been using a upright hen with a Jake ..aprox 2ft behind her and off to my side so I'm not aligned with the gobblers view. If you can use detail on your brand,position ,and decoy posture. I think it be helpful to have some ideas  that are out of the box

I always point mine in my direction in hopes of getting the gobbler to come around to the front of the decoys. Early spring i use a lay down hen in front of the jake and a feeder hen off to the side...In the last couple weeks of season i use either 2 hens upright or just one hen...  I almost hate to comment on this because of the decoy haters...who don't use them...just tired of haters....sorry.. hope this helps...
