Broke the ice in CT

My fist day of the CT season was awesome. Birds gobbling to thunder at first light. You find out real good what's in your area when it thunders out. Had two birds coming from different directions. When they met all I could hear was wings and fighting purrs. Then the winner rounded the bend and he became the looser. 1 1/4" Spurs 10 1/2" beard. Sunday I leave for Cobelskill NY for most of May, it's finally here!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
