Was set up on two birds late season last year in NY, I took the high ground on the hill above where they roosted along a creek, brutal weather was May 21st and there were snow flurries in the blasting wind. I didn't plan to call to the birds until after they flew down because I suspected I was in a good spot already and the hens had given me trouble pulling the birds away the day before. Well after dawn a "hunter" showed up and came barrelling straight at the birds across an open field blasting on an owl call dove in the creek bottom with the bird just hammering a glass call like he had a jack hammer for a striker.. Needless to say the birds spotted him and busted off the roost, unfortunately for them they pretty much landed down my gun barrel and I tagged out at 20yds on my only bird I never called to.
