Good luck! Sadly I maybe down a hunting partner due to tick bite caused illness ugh. Two years straight one of us has gone down. This will be my first year hunting without my dad. Time to get it done.

I believe I am actually going "lone wolf" tomorrow as well due to a couple of my normal hunting buddies down with injury and other plans. no matter just to be there, play the game and enjoy it all is what its about. full thermos, a favorite pipe and just the CHANCE to get a crack at a leery ole boss gobbler is what gets me going!

Good luck all. I wont be out until saturday but keep us posted. Be safe out there.

My dad and I will be out first thing in the morning.  We have been seeing 5 longbeards, 6 jakes and a bunch of hens traveling between the 3 pieces of property we can hunt that connect to each other.  After trying to roost them tonight and a long sleepless night, we'll be after them.

Good luck everyone.

I will be hunting in Orange County-NY. I have one area where I have heard at least 25 gobblers. Alot of poison ivy in that area though. Taking my friend Jeannine out. She only has 1 Fall hen to her credit .  Hope she gets her first Spring gobbler early. I have the day off- so I hope I can nail my own later before that 12 noon closure.

I'm gonna start the season off in Greene County.  Less than 12hrs......I can't wait.   Good luck to all of you NY hunters!
