Framing a fan

One of the things I don't like about fan mounts is how they collect dust and tend to lose their sheen over time.  I was thinking about trying to put one behind glass in a picture frame.  Has anyone ever done this and has pics or suggestions about how to go about it?

No experience - but I would think the deeper frames used to display sports jerseys would work just fine?

Google "shadow box for turkey fans" and you will get some great ideas, or places you can buy them.  The ones that are handmade with old barn wood looked awesome and I may have to do that some time. Maybe with my daughter's first.

I use a product called Groom Aid (for dogs).  It has lanolin in it and it is excellent for keeping the dust off turkey fans and deer head mounts.  Just a light spritz and gently brush.  I sell the stuff, so I just take a can home and do it when I think about it, maybe twice a year.
