My brother in law and myself are planning a trip out to South Dakota to hunt one of the reservations this year. We are probably going the last week in April/possibly the first week of May. We went to Nebraska the first week of May last year and the hunting was good. I know the weather can take a turn (wind/snow) in April, heck even May because when we got to Nebraska last year there was fresh snow to greet us in some areas. I guess my real question is how is the hunting around that last week of April? I know they could still be flocked up or the weather could be sour but we may not really have another option but to go then. Just looking for some input from someone who has hunted there around that time or even the quality of hunting if a fresh coat of snow comes?

It has to be pretty decent snow to change them up its breeding season I've killed em in 12 inch snows day after where they were as fired us as any warm spring day the problem weather can create is can you get to where you want to hunt  good luck
