will any of these woods make a decent trumpet

red oak, hickory,red heart and apple? also is polyurethane ok for finish or need something else?

I have made a few out of hickory and they are pretty good. Apple is good, but really needs to be stabilized to be at its best. Never turned redheart for a trumpet, but I think it is dense enough to work. I would not use red oak, the grain is to open.
