:smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an The Neil Cost call from 1978 will be coming up for sale soon.  Along with some Neil Cost books.   Keep an eye out on here and ebay.  Might try out the classified section and see what kind of offers come in.

I'm guessing your talking about price.   Green section of the rules?   A price will be set once it goes in the for sale section or on ebay.   Posting on this site was for one reason to help out any serious buyers who collect Neil Cost calls.  I've watched these calls for years for my father. With any collectible the prices have went down.  With that said Neil's calls still bring serious money across the board . The older or more rare demand top dollar.  Like any collectible .Anyone who wants info is more than welcome to pm me.  I'm new to the site but not new to selling calls. And I have the feedback to backup what I sell. That's not a problem.     :anim_25: on everyone's collecting and hunting this year.   :smiley-patriotic-flagwaver-an

Just went off eBay at 1201. I knew it wasn't gonna sell for 1,750. Told you  ;D

If he would have gotten ahold of me in the beginning I probably would've given 1500.00
but not after it was paraded for months. Didn't even bid. Lol.

That call ended up being sold/traded locally.  It was a Neil Cost call that was signed by him and made for someone else.  It went locally in the 1400.00 range.   I posted it for sale on ebay once and it went to alittle over 1200 but didn't meet my reserve.   Buy it now was set at 1750.00 reserve was set at 1500.00 .  I kept it for a little longer and then struck a deal loacally.  After that  I'm sure it was sold again.

As far as the second call goes I still own it.  It's Neil Cost personal use call signed to himself.  One of his personal hunting calls.   A step up in value for sure.   This call could be bought also if the price was right and if it's going to the right collector .  Save up your money GG .  I'm sure you will find another call in your price range. Good luck.    Have a good one guys. Happy hunting.

I wish you the best of luck with your call. I told you a long time ago the market wasn't what it used to be but maybe you will prove everyone telling you the same thing wrong. Ya never know you may find d someone who really wants a call like that. If yours brings alot maybe I'll test the waters with my matched set. Doubt it though. Good luck once again

Couple individuals are to blame for the price of cost calls, but either way if it aint hitting the woods it aint worth a $1000 plus dust collector.

lmbhngr

90% of my calls have hit the woods. With that being said... I wouldn't call the other 10% dust collectors. They're more like investments to me. To each his own I guess

nsselle

And that's what they are for, the woods. By saying investments, were they bought in hopes of some return one day?

nsselle

This is just for conversation. I respect to each his own

lmbhngr

I started my collection in hopes for one day I can pass them along to my kids and them to theirs. They're only going to go up in value so yes someday someone will get a return. Certainly noone laughed when Earl Mickels collection sold. My Cost and Searcy calls have never seen the woods. Probly never will

Neil made and signed dozens of his calls that way. He told me that he did that on the calls that were considered his premium sounding/playing callers. I had several now just the one personalized to me.
