I also put the Simmons Pro Diamond on my sons 20 ga. 870 2 yrs ago, he loves it, and so do I.  They are also very reasonably  priced.

I use a Bushnell Trophy Shotgun Scope 1.75-4x 32mm Circle-X Shotgun Reticle.  Been a great scope for the money so far.

Simmons scope like mentioned above but mines a fixed 4x.

This here as well. Tried the bushnell and did not like the reticle at all. The prodiamond is the way to go.

The good thing about the Pro Diamond is that if the birds head fills the diamond, you know it's in range. I believe they've said if the head alone fills the diamond it's something like 30 yards. It it takes the head and waddles to fill the diamond it's around 40 or so. Helps with range estimation.

I like the idea of the diamond reticle, but I have never used one. Never had a problem with my 1x4 Nikon.

partial to red dots myself. Great fov, no tube to line up and allows for quick reaction.
