i got one of these in the mail today, its a beautiful call that sounded amazing,i have played it a lot today and I was wandering if any of you all have this call and what you textured it with,i textured it with my favorite stone that makes 90%of my calls sound awesome, but this call is different,it has the hardest glass I think I have ever seen in a call, the stone didn't sound as good as it did when I got it,so I used a finer sand paper,im about to get it back to where it was when I first got it but I was wandering if you all have this call or one like it and whats the best way you have found to condition it.the glass feels totally different than any call I have, its hard to explain.i just know its an amazing call if I can get it back to where it was when I received it.some calls I have sound better with a stone, some a drywall screen, some sand paper, and I know what works best for each call but this one is so nice I just don't want to try different stuff unless I have to,so if you all can help I would appreciate it.

I have one of them but haven't run it enough to need conditioning but I agree it sounds awesome >>> my first hanks call but wont be my last ..

Your best bet is to get a hold of Kimmy and ask him what he uses.  This way it'll ensure you get the same sound it had when you got it.

I have the Zebrawood Glass and I agree that a stone just doesn't work on these calls. I use a medium grit sand paper. I cant remember the number on the sand paper but I consider this the best call I have owned and I have proven it a turkey killer in the woods.

I also have one of his zebra wood glass call. I played it the house when I first got it and it sounded awesome. I walked out of the house that was cool into a hot humid day and the glass frosted over. I let it sit awhile to get use to the temp and then used the yellow stand paper he sent with the call and that brought it back to life. Love this call great roll over with some rasp on the end.

thank you all that replied,i found the little sandpaper in the pack and have since got it back to sounding like it did,i like this call a lot, sounds great and is def. one of the better looking pots that I have.for you all that have it,if you get the chance run a lyman massacar ebony on it,it sounds good with a lot of strikers but that one is like it was made for it.
