So I purchased a set of truglo magnum gobble dot sights for my 870 super mag and was wondering how far back to mount the rear sight. It is a 26" barrel and I'm not exactly sure how far back to put the sight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I try and and put mine just before the rib starts to bend down

Ridge Rooster

I do the same, just before rib starts to step down.

I put the front sight up against the bead and the rear sight 15" from the front one. It will give you a much clearer picture that way.

Thanks,
