Thought I'd get to take my son for the last weekend but the wife got sick, we have playoff soccer, and two birthday parties. I was blessed to take another GA limit in what many call a tough season. I put seven gobblers in front of the gun, just hunting weekends and a few afternoons. Here are some memories.
#1....zero gobbles
#2 for me plus the other two I called in for my buddy. 3 hunts, three different locations, all on video. Buddies bird 3 gobbles, 2nd one 50 gobbles, my bird zero gobbles. Also kept my streak alive, now 12 years with at least one gobbler with 1.25 spurs in front of the gun.
Then it's off to a new part of the state. Was on turkeys all three days. Put my BNL on a bird then helped myself to a nest robber.
After I got back I had organized an ODF hunt for three kids here in GA. I'm wanting to help spread the organization and give more sick kids an opportunity to hunt. One of the kids got sick the night before and backed out. So we had two kids to put on birds. We put a gobbler in our kids lap but he was so scared he couldn't shoot. Our other kid smashed a huge gobbler and we caught a mess of fish and ate like kings. The people of Tattnall County GA really showed out for these kids. Next year will be bigger with more farms being opened up for the kids. I can't express the joy I have to have been able to put this together for ODF.

Then I was hunting for me again. My kid has soccer games on Saturdays and had two double headers, two Saturdays in a row so I had to go in the evening after work. One gobble.
Videos clips of Our three bird day. 7AM, 9 AM, and high noon. Ten years since my buddy and I chased birds together. We used to be hell on them....guess we still are.
