Finally, the season opener is in the morning. There doesn't seem to be an overabundance of gobblers in my hunting areas this year, but I have a few prospects lined up. It's supposed to be raining so I'm hoping it will keep a lot of the fair weather hunters from hitting the woods. My plan for now is to team up with a friend and try for a pair of henned up longbeards on his father-in-law's farm where we killed the youth season bird last weekend. They have been flying down and heading to the center of a fitted cornfield. This morning they had 10 hens keeping them company. I think that a groundblind and b-mobile will be the ticket to ending their reign of terror in the morning...
