Glass soundboard prep?

Getting ready to put a pot together, copper surface with a glass soundboard, should I leave the glass slick or scuff it?

It's fine do not use an adhesive that sets hard.   Silicon most any other soft set adhesive.

goop is what I used.  Hopefully this sounds ok, I had a pot from a glass call that the surface cracked so i took it apart and got a new sound board and copper striking surface, I believe the pot is hickory but do not remember?

I acetone wipe all surfaces before gluing. Mike
