Through the years I have paid good money for scales to weigh my turkeys with, only to find them being junk. What brand, or type do every one else use out there.

Just a Berkeley digital fish scale from Walmart. Just replaced my old beat up one, got several good years of fish and turkey weighing from it. 20 bucks give or take

I use a luggage scale because it has a tape measure built in to measure the beard and spurs. They are reasonably priced too.

Walmart fish scales. Probably not the most accurate but works for me.
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

I use the one at the weigh station.

Another Berkley scale user here too. I don't get into any contests anymore. When I did, you had to get the birds weighed on a "certified scale".

I use a old set of cotton scales, if we are going to old school turkey hunt we need to use old school scales.

Me too.  Does what I need it to do.  Accurate enough.
