I was going through some old photos today. This one,is one of my favorites.

On Christmas day 2014 I had lost a great friend. Jim,He was an avid outdoors man who cherished his wife and children. He was truly a great family man!
We had great times together. We had created an inseparable bond over the years through our work, hunting and fishing. He will be sorely missed this spring, as I track though the woods we once shared.
This photo was taken of him a few years back when we were working a bird. What a great spring this was,and this is how I want to remember him.

God Bless you my brother, and may you be granted eternal everlasting life.

Rest in peace.

So many people prefer to hunt by themselves.

Missed opportunities, and memories that can last a lifetime.

Spend time with a friend, family member or a kid.

That picture, I'm sure, is forever etched in your mind...

I love the pic. And the story. No one ever comes to the end of their road and says "I wish I would have spent more time by myself and less with family and friends"!  I savor the memories of past hunts with family and friends and would give a lot just to relive some of them.

Sounds like you had a great hunting partner, good you have the hunt memories and pics to remember him by.

Here's another of Jim with my son and a great Tom. This was not far off the Appalachian trail.
