I was looking for a nice "compromise choke" & shell combo for the Nova. Something that would throw an even pattern @ 40 - and not a slug hole at 20. Most choke recommendations for the Nova for "numbers" were in the .650 constriction. I wanted to try something a little more open, so I tried the Blackout (.665).
I didn't snap pics of the white paper patterns or the 20 yd (forgot), but the 20 yd pattern was 8"-10", and I was happy with the even pattern it put up at 40. This "final zero" pattern was 40 yds, seated off-the-knees - no bench. If I counted correctly, it's somewhere in the 192 range. It's not crazy #'s, but it's enough for a kill.
It did NOT like the 3.5" LB 5's (thank goodness... 3.5" is just plain rude in a pump gun!)
