Long Beard Pellet Count?

   Does anyone know how many pellets are actually in a LB 3" x 4 ? Trying to figure density percentages... Thx! 
PS: what about the LB 3" X 6 ?

1 3/4 oz. of 4 shot - 235

1 3/4 oz. of 5 shot - 297

1 3/4 oz. of 6 shot - 393

This is not exact, but really close.

It can vary but there are approximately 135 #4 pellets per oz and approximately 225 #6 pellets per oz. As you know, there are 2 different loads of each in the 3" WLB shells, 1 3/4 oz and 1 7/8 oz.

Thanks. I should also have added that there is a tolerance in the size of various pellets. Making any size shot is not an exact science. That's one reason that you can see a variance in the pellet count. Every manufacturer has its limits, just as choke makers and barrel maker have theirs. It may be just a few thousandths but it can make a difference.

Actually,your right on the money according to the #s I got from a ballistician at Winchester a few years ago!
