I just stopped by a LGS and they had some Kent Ultimate Diamond Shot on the shelf. I got a couple boxes of 20ga 3" #6 for $7.99 a box of 10.
My question is...if you use them in a 20ga what choke constriction has worked best for you? These are a fraction of what I've been paying plus, the store owner said if I wasn't totally satisfied bring back what I hadn't shot and he would give a full refund. He stated of every brand turkey ammo in his store these were by far his personal favorite. I'll be trying these in an 20ga 870 youth 21" barrel.
thanks in advance

Just use whatever choke you're using now. I had pretty good results with my tightwad but I'm betting the puregold 555 that's in there now would do better.

I bought a box to try earlier in the year, haven't got around to putting them on paper yet...

I tried them in #4, 5, and 6 in my MossbergĀ® Mdl 500c, and RemingtonĀ® SPR220 (Baikal IZH-43) 20ga guns. None of the loads patterned well at 30 yds. Shot them through .585", .575", .570", and .555" all nonported. I've relegated them to late season pheasant hunting.

I'd be asking the store guy what he used them in , choke , etc. and if they were his favorite for turkey hunting.
I did find them to be inexpensive but never got suitable results in patterning them myself.
BTW, if you find out please tell us but for now they are still on my shelf.

hey RAJ. the store owner told me he was shooting them in a Benelli 12ga with a turkey choke, he didn't say what choke it was. since I'm dealing with a 20ga I guess I'll find out for myself in a few days. gotta admit, his offer of a refund isn't bad.

That offer is the absolute best I have heard from a salesperson period.
The 12 gauge were better than the 20 gauge and if close enough they will be O K but never THE shell.

For what it worth my daughter shot the kent #5's out of a Escort youth 20 SA with the factory full choke and they had a decent pattern at 30 yds as compared to Rem. Nitro #5's. I did not count pellets, however it was an even pattern in a 10" circle. The Nitro's pattern had holes in it. The shells were both left overs that she was shooting for practice. She is shooting Fed. HW #7's this year which blow away the other two. With that said the kent pattern at 30 was a killing pattern for sure and what she would have been using if I had not found this site.
