I posted this on another site, thought I would post here also, did a little swapping with Austy Bott a few days back & was so pleased I wanted to let you guy's know what you are missing out on, if you don't have one of his Trumpets. He sent me a African Blackwood w/ Ivory mp & my first adjustable Trumpet. Guy's these are some of the best sounding Trumpets I have ever heard.

Shaz

I've heard one of his adjustable trumpets before. Wanted one ever since. Very nice additions there!  Would you be able to pm me his contact info?

Robert, You recieved some real great calls from Austy.  I have heard his work over the last several years and his stuff is top shelf IMO and all turkey.  I recently heard the adjustable trumpet and it is awesome to get gobbler and hen sounds depending how you adjust it.  Give them some woods time,I know Austy would appreciate it. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:

This is the trade call from Robert, and it sounds as awesome as it looks :turkey2: :turkey2:  Robert, I want to thank you publicly for the information that you were willing to share with me and wanted to make sure that you knew just how much I appreciated that help, hence that "surprise".    I'm also glad to hear that you were happy with our trade because I know I sure am.  Great thing about that adjustable call is that you as the caller can adjust it to where you like the sound of the turkey coming out of the call.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

Congrats to both of you!!!

Nice work and congrats to you both!

Prohunter 3509, a trumpet call is a suction call and is played much the same as a wing bone. Del Crow (savduck) has some good instructional videos with tips that may help. For some people a trumpet may be easier to learn the basics on than a wing bone. Then when you go back to a wing bone it will amaze you how much easier it is to play. It also helps if you have someone else around that can coach you.

Two fine calls for sure. I also have one of the adjustable trumpets and a Jordan yelper that are stuffed full of turkey.

EasternAssassin, been wanting to post this for couple months, I had Austy Botts make me one of his adjustable calls,  top notch, very easy to call on, the adjustment is great, I have some of the best call,, Zack Farmer, Cox, Green Hornet, J. White, V,O Johnson, the workmenship is fantastic, better yet it is an easy call to run, if you are a trumpet guy you have to get this call . EasternAssassin,  450 con, Kills, Ithaca 10 , Nitro,

As I said in response to "using only one call" - I have used a cowhorn (only) for over 60 years and last year added one of Austy Bott's adjustable trumpets.  Still use the cowhorn but add the trumpet to get a little different sound and IT WORKS!  Austy made me a 'slim, working' model - I hunt every day and use it every day - really nice!
