Northcentral KS would be 13 to 14 hrs.  If staying within 8 hrs, I'd probably stick with MO.   A lot of public country to cover there.

I'm not sure what the season dates are, but Eglin AFB (between niceville and crestview FL) shouldn't be too far for you. I've deer hunted it and seen quite a few turkeys.
