I bought a remington 870 20 gauge right before the season started and took it out on my last hunt of the year.
Was able to make a nice shot on this bird.

Great job, welcome to the yellow shell world

Very nice.  Way to go with that pop gun!  Who needs a big old 12 gauge?
Psalms 118v24: This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Your hooked, welcome also to the yellow shell, it will put a hurting on a bird.

After several years of using mainly my Remington 870 12 gauge and after taking most gobblers at 20 yards or less, I'm getting my Remington 870 Express 20 gauge smoothbore ready for the fall season. I already had a side plate-type scope mount for my 12 gauge and it fits the 20 just fine. I also had an older 1.5-4.5X scope that I've mounted on the 20 gauge. I'm planning to use this for both turkeys and whitetail deer. I've found the Federal Truball slugs shoot good in my 12 gauge and shot patterns were right with the sights as well, so I'm hoping the same hold true with the 20 gauge. I've already got plenty of turkey loads in lead shot. I have a modified as well as a full choke screw-in choke for the 20 gauge and am looking for a H.S. Strutt Undertaker choke in .665 or so for it since I've had such good luck with it on my 12 gauge.

I have a HS Strut Undertaker for my mossie 20, I think it is somewhere around .575. But I do love carrying that little 20, even if it won't reach out like it's big brother and those LB#5's
