I broke down (and broke into the savings) and got a couple of boxes of Hevi 6's. It was killing me that I'd never shot it. Last week I shot 7's and felt that the pattern wasn't as good as most other people. I figured maybe 6's do better in my 835 using Indian creek since I was getting well over 200 in the 10" at 40 with longbeards  I have to say I'm underwhelmed. This was my last chance to shoot before I get in the woods on Friday and I feel less confident at 40 yards than I did before I switched to the hevi in the 1st place but I'm sticking with it because the poi shot different than longbeards so I had to adjust the red dot.  Somebody assure me this is "good enough."  I'm sure it will kill but seriously what the heck!?
1st one 10/20 is 84/161
2nd is 144/146
3rd is 128/145

It will kill but you dont have much of a buffer zone for misjudgements. Make sure they are inside 40 and you will pack them out.

Your good to forty with that. I liked your #7 pattern better tho. What constriction is your choke?

The last two patterns are real good hunting patterns. Even the first one would be bad news for a gobbler standing @ 40yds. Best advice I can give is don't get too caught up in the numbers game. Heck I'd rather hunt those patterns you got with hevishot than 200+ with LB #6s.The LBs are very tight up close and can be inconsistent with poi. I'm trying to get away from the LBs this yr in my 935. They'd just too tight up close or even @ 30yds for my liking. And lead is still lead. IME, htl like hevi and Fed HW just hits em so much harder its worth giving up some #s when you get the knockdown power that htl gives over lead. Just go hunt. Ya know that's the only "bad" thing about OG I can see is the number chasing game. Heck we've got guys on here who are worried about one choke giving 170 vs 160 in the10"  and concerned about lot numbers, and they're still turkey "virgins" LOL. Don't get caught in the hype just go out hunt how you like and learn something along the way. Good luck this season!

I shoot a .676 in mine so not much difference there. Course diameter isn't everything in a choke. But honestly you are fine with either. I am partial to the #6 hevi's myself.  I have never broke 200 myself and don't plan on trying.  It will be bang flop for you as long as your aim is true!

I've hunted with a lot of guns that didn't throw that good of patterns!  And I never lost any sleep over it.  You'll be fine. go kill your bird.

This was the first year I put any effort into patterning and I have to say I liked myself better before I cared. Dead bird every time. Funny thing is it shot better before I deep cleaned it. Then better again before the barrel was polished. Guess mossy likes it dirty...

I deep clean mine after season and give it a little oil patch for the year. Before season I run a dry patch and fire a round or two to make sure it's on and go hunt. I try and make sure that it an "average" day for turkey season temp wise when I shoot and that's it. Works fine and I am not having a meltdown because I don't have at least 250 in the ten. I will see If I can dig up last year's test shot and you will see what I mean. If I can find it that is.

Here you go. This is what I like. A nice even pattern. I drew the circle before I shot. Had an orange dot in the center for an aiming point. I don't want it any tighter cause it causes problems up close.

Don't drink the kool aide brother, the 2nd and 3rd patterns will knock the slobber out of a gobbler. There is a ton of great info on OG, but the worst thing I ever did when I came on here years ago was start chasing numbers. It will drive you mad. Evenness is the key. No gaps, no holes. Looks like you're good. Go get 'em man, bust a big one friday.
