I had a man tell me one time about a Nitro load for a 10 gauge that was 3 onces of shot, never seen him shoot it but he said he believed a train wreck would hurt less than shooting that load at a pattern board.

3.5" magblends and the old Federal 3.5" 2&1/4 oz.shells are the hardest kicking shells I have shot. But they killed on both ends so it was worth the pain. I had an old 835 non ported barrel and that thing was brutal with any 3.5".

The old nitro economy loads.  3 oz of 4 & 5 lead and 7 hevi shot in a ten gauge, and the same combo but less shot in a twelve.  Killed on both ends.

The Remington hypersonic steel ducks loads kick like a mule I gave two boxes two a friend and won't shoot them anymore.

I had a 10 ga. that I shot 3 1/2" Nitro, I think 3 oz. payload. That hurt something terrible but I think the 3 1/2" "Ferocchi's" had an edge on them! Out of my SBE II, they were just plain blunt force trauma!
