I use Dr.Slicks scissors for cutting the top reed. They stay sharp for a long time. I get the micro tip ones makes it easy to get under the top reed without cutting the others by accident. If you are getting a press get one from Thad Bright at feather ridge best press out there. Spend the extra cash and get the competition press with a tab bender. I really like mine. I heard he may have a few at Nashville.
