Go Pro Camera mount for hunting

Want to use my new GoPro for this upcoming season and wanted to see how others make the most of their camera during a hunt?  What mounts,etc??

Does anybody have any experience with mounting the GoPro to the barrel?  I was thinking of mounting mine to the gun barrel, but wondered about the the shock possibly damaging the camera.
