Well, it depends on my mood that day, and who I hunt with as well. Couple guys request I use a shotgun. No issues there. If that's the case, it'll either be the mossberg 835, Winchester sx2, or the Remington 11-87 in 20 ga. Was informed today by a guy that there's a spot that'll be archery only. That'll be interesting as I've never intentionally gone after turkeys with archery equipment. If I'm hunting alone, sometimes I'll carry a rifle. Not that I regularly shoot birds at long range but the option is there should I choose. Usually it's a 22 magnum but on occasion I'll grab the 22 hornet or 223. I prefer them when there's a good chance of seeing coyotes. My plan this year is to leave the rifle at home though. Hard to say for sure but it'll keep me from wanting to shoot one at a greater distance.
