We had an awesome hunt down in Kentucky this past week. I called in 3 coyotes myself and my partner called in 2 more while we were there. Unfortunately, I missed on two shots and the third didn't offer a shot. Not sure what's going on with my 22-250, but it will be seeing some range time this week to figure it out. My partner only took a shot on one coyote, the other one he called in did not present a shot for him.

Some of the other guys hunting from the camp did well too. Two more coyotes were brought into camp along with a cat and a couple more guys shot two more coyotes and missed an additional dog, as well as another bobcat.

Lots of action this year. We can't wait to go again next year.

Now that is what I like to see. Congrats.... I really have to get back into killing these things here in NY (used to have a younger fella who had permission to hunt them on our leases but he has currently moved so someone has to get back after them (at least that's what I am telling the wife....lol)).

Nice! What part of KY? There aren't a lot of cats where I live (north east of Louisville), but more are starting to pop up. I bet I only heard of less than a handful of sightings my whole life until the last 3 years or so. Since then I know of 10-15 that have been seen or killed. I have never seen one.

tomstopper...If you ever need any help controlling the population of coyotes shoot me a PM. I also hunt and trap in NY state and I'm always looking for new areas. If you need a hand give me a shout.

Mabren2...Kentucky, sorry but that's as far as I narrow my hunting spots down. Way too many internet scouters out there to be posting that kind of info on a public board. I'm sure you understand. I do hope you start to see some more cats in your area and you get to witness one in the wild one day.

kyturkeyhunter4...You bet! What's not to love. They are quite challenging at times.
